Medical-Health: Medical Therapy-Rehab Services

The Occupational Therapist for Work Health provides occupational therapy services to a wide variety of patients and works closely with others on the rehabilitation team and in other departments.  The Work Performance Occupational Therapist should be able to perform specialized industrial occupational therapy services through a process of evaluation, treatment plan development, treatment and monitoring of process.  Assists clients in increasing function to enable a timely and successful return to work.  The predominance of cases will be upper extremity, so a strong background in hand therapy is preferred.  Experience with Worker's Compensation patients and work conditioning/hardening is preferred. Also performs ergonomic assessments, onsite training, job analysis and therapy as assigned.
 
 Must be proficient in use of functional testing and standardized methods of testing to assess physical and functional capabilities, collaborating with the Physical Therapist to determine validity of testing and impact of physical assessment on functional abilities.  Monitors and reports on patient outcomes as part of an interdisciplinary team.
