Job Description:

Asante has an opportunity available for a Full Time Industrial Rehab Occupational Therapist in Medford, Oregon. 

Asante Work Health focuses on the health and wellness needs of employers and their employees.  Work Health offers a full range of services including wellness and prevention programs and treatment of on-the-job injuries.

The Occupational Therapist - Work Health provides occupational therapy services to a wide variety of patients and works closely with others on the rehabilitation team and in other departments.  The Work Performance Occupational Therapist should be able to perform specialized industrial occupational therapy services through a process of evaluation, treatment plan development, treatment and monitoring of process.  Assists clients in increasing function to enable a timely and successful return to work.  The predominance of cases will be upper extremity, so a strong background in hand therapy is preferred.  Experience with Worker's Compensation patients and work conditioning/hardening is preferred. Also performs ergonomic assessments, onsite training, job analysis and therapy as assigned.

Must be proficient in use of functional testing and standardized methods of testing to assess physical and functional capabilities, collaborating with the Physical Therapist to determine validity of testing and impact of physical assessment on functional abilities.  Monitors and reports on patient outcomes as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Job Requirements:

This Position Requires:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent or certificate from a school of occupational therapy. 
  • Ability to adhere to and maintain expertise regarding federal and state regulations, and specific carrier requirements.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association
  • Occupational Therapist (OT) license by Oregon Occupational Therapist Licensing Board
  • Ability to process information, ability to problem-solve individually and within a team setting,
  •  
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks appropriately, and ability to manage time well.
  •  
  • Flexibility with scheduling.  
  •  
  • Certified Ergonomic Specialist preferred.
