Performs, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following departmental protocols to assist in physician diagnosis and treatment. Prepares specimens for testing, screens patient specimens, and analyzes patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Performs quality control procedures, and assists Technical Specialist in maintaining an efficient and effective laboratory operation. May serve as a generalist or as a limited specialist.Schedule is 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., every 3rd weekend.

Licenses
Certification, registration or both from a qualifying agency as a MT Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician MLT, or Certification as a generalist (NCA, ASCP, AMT, HEW), or the eligibility to qualify for certification within 3 months
Must be certified through ASCP.
