Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. and its affiliates (Rainbow) have successfully been treating individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries for more than 30 years. With more than 35 residential locations, five treatment centers, a NeuroRehab Campus and two vocational centers, Rainbow offers services that span nearly every aspect of brain and spinal cord injury recovery and rehabilitation. Our residential settings include adult homes, child and adolescent homes, town houses and semi-independent living apartments. Day treatment, home and community-based rehabilitation and outpatient services are also available. The Director oversees the daily operation and support of Rainbow's Neuro Rehabilitation Campus (NRC) located in Farmington Hills and Southfield Center (SFC). The Neuro Rehabilitation Campus (NRC) at Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers is in many ways the gate way to our programs. It consists of two connected 20-bed adult family homes that care for adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries. There is a wide variety of clients that range from those having significant medical issues to those needing only supervision. The NRC is a dynamic environment with several support and therapeutic services available for the clients. The Southfield Center, Rainbow's newest residential facility, is a 14-bed facility specially designed to provide clients with a warm and inviting setting to support the recovery process.

Responsibilities include oversight of collaboration with the interdisciplinary teams (therapies, nursing, case management, admissions, etc. to ensure effective execution of clinical programming. Other core responsibilities include but are not limited to staffing selection, training and development, scheduling, quality of services provided, client satisfaction, family satisfaction, employee retention and engagement, state licensing and CARF regulatory compliance, and oversight of building operations.

Job Qualifications:

5 years' experience in the related field including 2 plus years' experience with neurological patients

5 years' experience as a director/supervisor of treatment teams preferred

Experience in managing acute rehabilitation and/or skilled nursing leadership is preferred

Experience in managing a brain injury rehabilitation program preferred

Previous experience with clinical program development

Required education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Nursing or Mental Health required. Ten + years management experience in a brain injury rehabilitation/residential program setting is acceptable in lieu of education.

Other skills and abilities required:

Knowledge of HIPAA

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with co-workers and clients in an English-speaking environment.

Strong leadership skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong prioritizing/problem solving skills

Willingness to learn new skills

Willingness to mentor and co-treat with clinicians

Acceptable under Michigan's Good Moral Character Statute

Ability to lift, more than 30 lb. - Repeatedly throughout day to address direct care needs

Transfer, push, pull, 150 lb. or greater patient weight

Standing, 4 - 5 hours/day

Walking, 2 - 4 hours/day

Bend, stoop, squat, and/or twist - Repeatedly throughout day

Michigan driver's license and acceptable driving record. Michigan Chauffeur's license must be obtained within 2 weeks of employment.

CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) and First Aid – Adult and Pediatric Certification required or obtained within one week of employment (training provided at orientation).

Additional Qualifications:

Professional Licensure in related field
